Q: “We have received feedback on “erratic” battery life readings.
New battery needs 1-3 full charge & discharge (don’t let it drop to less than 3%) to calibrate itself. To determine if your battery is “erratic”, please use the following go/no-go test to determine if the battery is faulty: – Unable to charge fully to 100%. – A sudden drop of battery life, followed by a long constant non-discharge of 20/30 mins. Our investigations narrowed the findings to a small batch of batteries with faulty circuitry. After replacement with another battery, the problem ceased. If your battery exhibits the above symptoms, please come to our Aljunied office to have your battery replaced for free. Note: “Upon disconnecting the charger, a sudden drop from 100% to 90% or more…” It is normal for iNO One to charge up to 100% and cuts off the power supply, allowing it dip to around 90%. Older phones were rather inelegant in their charging behavior; usually filling the battery to capacity and then switching to a trickle current to maintain the highest charge possible. This offered the highest usage time in the short-term, but was damaging the battery over the course of ownership. As explained at Battery University, “The time at which the battery stays at [maximum charge] should be as short as possible. Prolonged high voltage promotes corrosion, especially at elevated temperatures.
Q: I have a very short battery life, how do I know if I have a faulty battery?
A: The battery is working when …. – My battery takes less than 4 hours to charge. – Videos playing continuously for 1 hr 40 mins drops from 100% to 50%. ( How to test? Restore to factory default, turn on maximum brightness, use MX Player and set “Playback complete action” to “Back to List” )
Q: How do I get more juice from my battery?
Tip 1: To save more battery, remember to close your background applications. Hold down “HOME” key, until Recent Apps appear. Swipe individual apps to close them.
Tip 2: New batteries need calibration. Do a first time charge to 100% for 8 hours. Then discharge the battery to < 3%. Then perform another charge to 100% and discharge to < 3 %. This will calibrate the battery internally to know their upper and lower limits. In the future, charge your batteries frequently, do not let the battery discharge less than 15%.
Q: How do I prolong the battery life?
A: Avoid deep discharge (depletion) and instead charge more often between uses. The smaller the depth of discharge, the longer the battery will last. Extreme temperatures will damage the batteries.
Q: I am not able to change my incoming Voice call ringtone. When I change the ringtone, it goes back to the default ringtone.
A: This problem can be solved by performing an Factory Default. Go to “Settings” > “Backup & reset” > “Factory data reset” > “Reset phone”.
Q: How do I turn off the touch on vibrate?
A: Go to “Settings” > “Audio profiles” > Your Current Profile (e.g. “General”) > Uncheck “Vibrate on touch”.
Q: Typing on the touchscreen keyboard still has vibrate on touch. How do I turn it off?
A: Go to “Settings” > “Language & input” > Click on settings of your current keyboard (e.g. “General”) > Uncheck “Vibrate on keypress”.
Q: There is no notification lights, how do I know if I have missed calls or new messages?
A: Go and download a free android application “Go Locker“. The locked screen has shortcuts which displays the number of missed calls and new messages.
Q: It takes more than 3 hours to charge the iNO One! Is it normal ?
A: Yes, by calculation it takes 3.5 hours to charge the iNO One with our iNO One detachable charger. It is due to the low amperage of only 500mA. Charge time = battery capacity / charge current * 1.2 (unit:hrs) Time taken to charge battery = 1460maH/500mA * 1.2 = 3.5 hrs ! To shorten the time to charge, you can purchase microUSB chargers that have higher amperage ( e.g. amperage of 1A), these will take about 1 hr 45 mins to charge.
Q: How do I root the iNO One?
A: Warranty is void once you root the iNO One. We do not support rooting officially. However, it is possible to root the iNO One. For more information, go to our Facebook Page and learn about rooting from our community!
