A: Ensure that your SIM card contacts do not have any strange/special characters. Some phones for example: Nokia, will add special characters to your contacts if you used the “group” contact function. Read more here.
Q: I am unable to connect the phone to the computer via USB?
A: After you connect the ino one plus to the computer, you should see “USB connected” in the notification screen. If you do not see it, do follow the steps detailed here.
Q: Why is there a delay in receiving SMS ?
A: The SMS messages travel through the SMSC gateway to send and receive. A common symptom of a badly configured SMSC is your device is able to receive SMS but not send (usually reporting as sent, but without reception on the receiving end).
smscYou can update the SMSC number on the mobile phone. Use phone dialer and dial *#*#4636#*#* to enter Phone info. Scroll to the bottom and change the SMSC.
You can try the following SMS Numbers:
M1
“+6596845999”, 145
“+6596845997”, 145
Singtel
“+6596400001”, 145
“+6596500001”, 145
“+6598189999”, 145
“+6596197777”, 145
Starhub
“+6598540020”, 145
Once entered, it can take up to 10 minutes for the phone to ‘handshake’ with the new gateway. A reboot is also suggested to power cycle the radio. If the format you entered does not work, attempt one of the other formats. Assuming everything worked, you should now be able to send and receive SMS properly.
Q: Help! I am unable to get pass the startup screen. I can just see the iNO logo and it simply hung there.
A: You can try to do a factory reset. Warning! This will delete all your data. Power off the power. Take out the battery and put back the battery. Press and hold on to the power button and volume up at the same time. After about 10 seconds, you should see an android robot and Android system recovery (3e) menu. Use the volume down to scroll through the menu. Choose “wipe data/factory reset”. Press and hold down the power button for 2 seconds and release it, to select the menu item. Next confirm again by choose “Yes — delete all user data”.
Q: Playing games on the iNO One plus is slow. There is a tear on the top 30% (v-shape) on the screen.
A: Ensure that the phone is upgraded to version 1.0.8. The graphics drivers have been improved and the screen tear is fixed. For the full fixes, do read the changelog below.
Q: I just bought an iNO One plus and I can’t access the internet.
A: The access point name might be missing. Go to “Settings > More > Mobile Network > Network Settings > Access Point Names. Press the menu button (bottom right) and choose “Reset to Default”. The new access point names should be entered automatically into your phone. You should have Internet access now.
Q: There is not enough RAM for iNO One plus. How to free up more RAM ?
A: Although iNO One Plus has 512mb of RAM, only about 350mb of RAM is available for use. The missing RAM is allocated internally for Radio, GPU, and other devices. Also by default, there are many Google background services and applications which run automatically whenever the phone is booted. We recommend Smart RAM booster to stop unnecessary applications from running. It will booster RAM whenever the screen is off.
You can also disable and force stop the following apps if you do not use them. To disable, go to Settings > Apps > All.
Consider disabling apps which you do not use. For example: Android Live Wallpapers, Email, Exchange Services, Google One Time Init, Google Search, Home screen tips, Music visualization Wallpaper, MusicFX, News & Weather, Pico TTS, Sound Recorder, Talk, Voice Search.
Q: Can I upgrade iNO One Plus over-the-air?
A: All iNo One Plus regardless of build version, can upgraded over-the-air. No data will be lost during the zip upgrade process.
However, note that IMEI & Bluetooth fix can only be done at our service centre.
Q: I can’t use viber voice call. Also I get dropped calls 5 secs into the conversation.
A: Do update to at least build version 1.0.9, if you are using viber.
Q: The ‘Home’ touch button at the bottom is dim or has no light. Is it normal?
A: Unfortunately, iNO One Plus phones has the same issue. The Home key is very dim or has no light.
Q: I have problems pairing with my Bluetooth devices. It pairs and connects the first time only. Subsequent attempts to connect to the device will fail.
A: If you have bought the iNO One plus phone before May 2013, the Bluetooth address is not static/fixed. It changes each time you switch on/off the Bluetooth. Do bring in your phone to write in a fixed Bluetooth address.
Q: My SIM card is working in other phones, however when i put in iNO One Plus phone, the SIM card is undetected.
A: Ensure that the SIM card is inserted correctly, to insert in slot1 (top slot), gold contacts should be facing down. To insert in slot2 (bottom slot), gold contacts should be facing up. If SIM card is still not detected, either the SIM card reader is spoilt or IMEI is blocked and needs to be changed. Please send the phone to the our service centre.
Q: My iNO One phone cannot work in some countries, for example: India.
A: If the phone was bought before May 2013, the IMEI numbers might be locked. We need to write new IMEI numbers. Unfortunately we are unable to write new IMEI over-the-air. Please bring it to our services centres.
Q: Why does my earpiece does not work with the iNO One?
A: iNO One uses the OTMP standard (nokia compatible) for its earpiece. You might be using an earpiece that is CTIA standard (iphone compatible). You can buy a OMTP-CITA coverter/adaptor so that you can use iNO One with your favourite earpiece.
Q: How do I setup android email client with outlook ?
A: Use the following settings: Incoming Mail settings: pop3.live.com, Port:995, TLS/SSL. Outgoing SMTP settings: smtp.live.com, Port: 587, STARTTTLS
Q: Does ADB does not work in iNO One?
A: ADB only works in Windows XP (32 bit).
